Dr. Stephan Goupil leads Extended Healthspans, a pioneering lifestyle medicine and longevity medicine practice located in the Boston suburb of Westford. Dr. Goupil's passion for healthcare is deeply rooted in his extensive experience as a Family Practice, Lifestyle Medicine, and Primary Care physician where he witnessed firsthand how lifestyle choices impact health.

Dr. Goupil is a firm believer in the six pillars of Lifestyle Medicine and enjoys incorporating physical activity, stress reduction, and social connections through participating in a variety of activities, including trail runs, skiing, swimming, SCUBA diving, meditation and spending time with his friends and family.

In 2024, Dr. Goupil embarked on starting his own practice to focus intensely on helping patients prevent, manage, and even reverse chronic diseases.
Leaving behind corporate-style medicine, he sought a smaller, more intimate setting where he could dedicate ample time to each patient, delving deep into the root causes of their chronic illnesses and crafting personalized treatment plans based on cutting-edge labs and the latest evidence-based medicine.
This personalized, concierge-style approach to healthcare is what separates Dr. Goupil and Extended Healthspans from other practices and primary care providers.​

DR. GOUPIL'S JOURNEY
From Research to Patient Care
Dr. Goupil's journey into the science of aging and health began long before he became a medical doctor. He earned a PhD in Biomedical Science, focusing on the Biology of Aging, and shared his knowledge as a biology and genetics professor at Montgomery College.

His passion for understanding the mechanisms of aging and chronic illness spurred him to further his education, earning a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He earned board certifications in both Family Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine and has been practicing ever since.
